DJ’s Painting provides sandblasting and vapor blasting to remove rust, old paint and surface buildup. Our blasting methods prepare surfaces for further treatment or a new coating.

Abrasive Sandblasting

Sandblasting, also known as abrasive blasting, uses compressed air to propel abrasive material against a surface. It removes old coatings, rust and scale, leaving a clean, textured surface ready for further treatment or coating application.

Vapor Blasting

Vapor blasting uses damp abrasive material carried by compressed air. Compared with dry sandblasting, it produces dramatically less airborne dust, which can reduce containment needs. It also keeps surfaces cooler, reducing the risk of warping thin metal, and leaves a smoother, more uniform profile for coating adhesion.

The process uses about 10% of the sand or aggregate, reducing waste and speeding up cleanup. It is well suited to large commercial projects on steel, concrete and other surfaces, including work near other trades or occupied areas.

We do not offer wet sandblasting, where water carries the abrasive.
